Lauren O'Neill-Butler is a writer and the managing editor of Artforum.com. A frequent contributor to Artforum and to Artforum.com, her exhibition reviews have also appeared regularly in Time Out New York and she has contributed essays to catalogues for Milton Keynes Gallery among others.

She is on the graduate adjunct faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design and the undergraduate at the School of Visual Arts, and has been a visiting critic at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Parsons The New School for Design, Hunter College, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and PS 122 Gallery, New York.

In 2009, she was a resident at Denniston Hill.
